Enjoying a fabulous waterfront position‚ the Gran Melia Victoria is the most luxurious hotel on the stylish Paseo Maritimo yacht marina. The hotel offers a high standard of comfort and a personal service which is second to none.
With amazing panoramic views of the bay, the hotel is just a few minutes away from the city´s charming old quarter and short distance from the island´s best golf courses and beaches. For those wishing to discover the very best of Mallorca, the Hotel Gran Meliá Victoria is clearly the right choice for your holidays ...

Great Girlie Weekend || on Sept 22, 2008 by Samantha065 || Overal Rating 10/10
I have just had a fantastic long weekend break with 7 other female friends. Gran Victoria hotel was certainly 5*. Rooms very clean and we had a side sea view of the mariner and the Cathedral. Definately request a room with a view, not sure what the back room views are like. Turn down service and a choccie every night. The staff were all very pleasant and Reception service excellent. Breakfast was fabulous, we sat out on the terrace sipping cava with our smoked salmon. Oscar the pool attendant was very good in finding a lounger for you and moving off other peoples towels should they be reserved! Liked — Location, cleaniness, staff, good size pool and breakfast. Disliked — Bar staff not overly friendly |

Spent 4 nights at the Gran Melia Victoria hotel in Mallorca over the late May bank Holiday weekend. We had a Marina and Cathedral view double room, which was the 3rd most expensive room. My wife loved playing with the electric curtains ! The room decor is looking tired, that said it was spotless. They have a turning down service at night. The main hotel areas had an old dampy sort of smell - not apparent in the bedrooms though. The main road infront of Gran Melia Victoria hotel opposite the marina was very busy and noisy, even with the balcony door shut the noise was still present. Staff were great and the breakfast chefs were very accomodating. A Brandy and lemonade cost 14 Euros an a small beer 5.50 Euros, so not the cheapest of places to get drunk. Found it easy to get taxis to move around the city. A walk to the cathedral takes about 20 mins. The outdoor pool is dated, the poolman will bring you pool towels and a mattress for the sun bed, when you appear by the pool. the indoor pool was a tiny joke of an affair ! The gym is outside in the shade by the side of the pool. As the Hotel is lower at the roadside than at the front of the hotel you have to get two lifts to get out to the pool or the roadside. I would not recommend Gran Victoria hotel for people in wheelchairs ...

Perfect hotel in Mallorca || on May 9, 2008 by Traveller699 || Overal Rating 10/10
Food - I'm not sure if it's because I'm getting older and more like Richard Wilson every day, but I felt the food (we only had breakfast at Gran Victoria hotel in Mallorca) could have been better. Bags of choice but very much geared towards those who like fruit, cakes and meat for breakfast. If you want to eat out there are some brilliant restaurants near by. If you like ice-cream then there is a little Haggen Daaz place just next to the door that leads down to the sea-front. The Bar - Again its "I don't believe it!!", as far as the bar goes. Very expensive and limited in choice. They do have a guy who plays the piano most nights although his repertoire is limited to the works of Andrew Lloyd-Webber. The Gran Melia Victoria is probably the best hotel in Palma de Mallorca but just to echo previous comments try to avoid rooms situated on the right hand side (As if you were facing the sea - the same side as reception) as the all night disco can be a little noisy....it's located on the 3rd or 4th floor which doesn't help ... |
Such decadence || on Sept 7, 2007 by alisonware || Overal Rating 10/10
We booked this hotel after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. However there lies a quandry. Gran Melia Victoria hotel is in an odd location.
We up graded to a fabulous room 422 which reminded us of the The Dorchester in London although smaller. It provided us with every possible luxury along with fabulous balcony, teak sun chairs etc and wow what a view overlooking marina and cathedral. We spent hours watching the rich and famous come and go in their luxury yachts. Not to mention the many criuse ships. Gran Victoria Hotel is a rose amongst the thorns.
The front of the hotel is in an area not dissimilar to down town Havana whilst the rear fronting the Passeig Maritim is very chic. We were disppointed through lack of descent restaurants closeby and Palma de Mallorca although only one and half kilometers is a long walk in hot weather. There is a regular bus service although we opted for taxi which was only £3 to old town ... Would we return? definitely as one of the few luxury hotels close to Palma de Mallorca Town Centre. It is not children friendly. |
A nice stay in Mallorca, Spain || on Sept 2, 2007 by rochelle.alexis || Overal Rating 8/10
We booked this hotel through the website because if you joined their points club you got a discount. Gran Melia Victoria hotel is nice enough.
The decorations are very old school victorian. Some of the carpets are shabby but nothing that would keep you away. The views are amazing.
The amenities are not 5-star qualities. They smell of men's cologne are not very nice. So, bring your own shampoo, lotion, etc. The location of Gran Victoria hotel is OK. The closest beach is a bus or cab ride away. There are not a lot of (good) restaurants nearby. We did try the restaurant next door called Mediterano 1930 and thought it was awful. Don't eat there!! Take a cab to a different part of town for dinner!! The pools are amazing. Plenty of chairs and towels. The staff at the hotel are also amazing. Willing to help with recommendations, accomodations or anything else you need. They will also give you towels to take to beach. They give you a complimentary newspaper in the morning at your door and there is complimentary champagne in the lobby everyday. I don't know if this hotel was worth the price but we did have a lovely stay.

Absolutely wonderful || on June 6, 2007 by Briercliffe || Overal Rating 10/10
We got back from Palma three days ago after spending a week at the Gran Melia Victoria. It didn't fail to impress... The staff of Gran Melia Victoria hotel are very friendly and efficient. The room we had (room 516) was large, very well appointed (the electronic curtains are novel) and luxurious.
I particualrly liked the way the room had its own lobby (so you couldn't hear the lifts or corridor outside at all) and that the marble bathroom was split into two with sliding frosted glass doors. Other nice little touches were the night time chocolates, bowl of fruit on arrival and complimentary sun cream in the bathroom. I specifically asked for a room upgrade to a full sea and cathedrale view, which was certainly worth the money. A high floor room also helps noise wise. There are a few clubs outside and saturday night was the busiest it got. To be honest the windows were well sound proofed and we were barely disturbed. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Tip: don't be afraid to ask for espresso coffee, toast or fried eggs! The outdoor pool was pretty big and there were plenty of comfy loungers. Only problem with sunbathing was the road noise, but you got used to that (either that or listen to music). Would i stay there again - most definately. I am very hard to please, but the Gran Melia Victoria managed to!
