Palma Nova is a lively and bustling seaside resort that remains very popular with families. The hugely popular resort
of Palma Nova and its nearest neighbour Magaluf, are the largest resort developments of the municipal district of Calvia, and is situated on the south west coast of Mallorca, approximately 15km or 10 miles west of Palma City, and the Son Sant Joan International airport. Palma Nova has 3 beaches all with great facilities and lifeguards in the holiday season, and golf courses are within easy reach. The seafront promenade has plenty of restaurants, bars and delightful pavement cafes, which are all child friendly. Palma Nova is very central for four golf courses, all within 10 min drive .

Easy access to the motorway, taxi's and buses makes Palma Nova an ideal base from which to explore all the diverse areas this beautiful island has to offer. The nearest airport is Palma airport this is approximately 20 minutes drive away. There is a regular bus service to and from the airport. Taxis are readily available also. Car hire is not essential as Palma Nova is very central. The capital Palma is 15 minutes away from Palma Nova. Worth a visit is the beautiful Cathedral. Also only 5 minutes drive away is Marineland where you can see dolphins, seals and other animals. Many shows are available by tours which are well worth visiting, ie Son Amar which is agreat evenings entertainment.
The Stadium Palma Nova has fabulous cabaret acts (especially Rod Stewart). The set is super with several TV screens and excellent speaker systems which means that you can hear but still have a conversation. The bar staff are super and this venue is highly recommended for a night out. The Western Waterpark is a great day out for all of the family as there are other things to do there as well. It has a Western/Cowboy theme and there are special shows thoughout the day at various locations in the Park. The Pirates Show - This is a spectacular acrobatic show for all of the family.
Families, friends and couples alike will find summer holidays to Palma Nova packed full of relaxation and amusement in equal measures. You could while away your days here quite easily on the shimmering sands. Sweeping their way around a horse-shaped bay, they gently slope into gorgeous aquamarine seas. It's the perfect recipe for chilling out. The beaches attract many families with small children while the wide ranging sporting facilities draw those looking for a more active holiday. Those people, usually retirees, who wish to escape the cold of a British winter, often choose to visit Palma Nova out of season when many of the bars have closed & it becomes an altogether quieter and different place.
