We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel Araxa. Breakfasts by the pool were second to none, tranquil and relaxing, and without the mad rush
for sunbeds. Gardens and pool area were stunning & the staff were courteous but not overbearing. They left us to our own devices which is just what we were after - even to the point of clearing the sunbeds around us to allow us to stay out reading our books until the last rays of sunshine had disappeared into evening. Bliss! Rooms clean and bright. Surrounding area was pleasant, with a small number of bars within 10 minutes walk. The harbour was an extra 5 minutes away, and Palma cathedral took around 40mins on foot. Would recommend Araxa hotel for couples -
a great place to chill out. Liked — pool and gardens Disliked — The evening meals, although reasonable, were not the best feature of the hotel.

We liked the Araxa as soon as we arrived. The very pleasant garden as you walk up to the main entrance immediately makes you feel relaxed and gives you a good feel about the place and the standard of the rooms was very good. Although the road to the side of the hotel did seem to have a fair amount of traffic, even at night, it was nowhere near as noisy as the main road running beside the port. All rooms have air-con though so you can shut the door to the balcony and sleep comfortably. Very substantial buffet breakfast included in the price and they offer good value evening meals (fixed price 3 course dinner available for 16 Euros). There's a swimming pool next to the terrace, which was a pleasant place to sit and eat. It's only 5 minutes from the port and a pleasant stroll along the waterfront to the main part of Palma. Definitely to be recommended

Just back from a 2 night stay at Araxa hotel, although it seems a bit off the beaten track, its actually in a residencial area.
Contrary to other reports the area was safe at night, we did not feel threatened in any way. The hotel Araxa itself is spotlessly clean and the staff very pleasant, just remember a smile goes a long way. The breakfast was adequate although the hot water for tea and coffee could have been a bit hotter. We didn't use the pool but the pool area was very clean and well kept. Araxa hotel rooms had everything you need really including a selection of toiletries(soap,toothbrush,shampoo,conditioner,comb,shaving kit and even a shoe shining kit). The only downside was the walk down to the marina which has a lot of steps but taxis are cheap and plenitful. Hotel Araxa is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
