A party of four adults, our first time away without the kids so were really looking forward to this holiday. We booked Janer bus to pick us up at airport, they were the cheapest and exactly on time on pick up and return, so off to a perfect start. Arriving at hotel 1 hour later we were well pleased. Platja Daurada hotel was clean, really nice marble floors and staff friendly; they could speak English pretty well. Our rooms were fine, they had a fridge and hairdryer and a big enough balcony for 2 adults to get the last of the sunshine at night. Buffet at night had plenty to offer and easy enough to get a table for four, we norm went down about 7.45. The pools were lovely only really cold but lovely to look at. Not too many kids, but if you sit up at the top pool there were no kids and the scenery was amazing looking right onto the beach. Eix Platja Daurada hotel was mainly German which was fine, they were nice and reformed, unlike us! Bar staff friendly and sometimes will bring your drinks down to you as you soaked up the rays. Happy Days! Chocolate was a lovely restaurant down the prom, we had to lovely meals in it, and it had live music one night, The Lone Riders. We were there only 3 nights so overall our holiday was excellent & we cant wait to go back, can Picafort itself is a lovely resort ..

Dies geht aus den vorgenannten Beschreibungen hervor. Das Platja Daurada Hotel kann ich mit Einschränkungen weiterempfehlen.
Die Lautstärke in den 1.OG`s der "Bettenhäuser" ist bedingt durch Restaurant und Baranlage unangenehm. Dies fällt besonders in den frühen Morgenstunden und spät Abends auf. Die Shows in der Bar waren eine kurzweilige Bereicherung des Urlaubs. Da wir das Eix Platja Daurada Hotel nicht kannten und kurzfristig gebucht haben ist der von uns bezahlte Preis fast o.k. Wer jedoch frühzeitiger bucht und den vollen Preis bezahlt, bekommt jedoch nicht genug Qualität für sein Geld. Wenn man uns danach fragt ob wir zu ähnlichen Bedingungen das Hotel wieder wählen würden, würden wir mit ja antworten. 4 Sterne sind es jedenfalls nach unseren Erfahrungen nicht. Das gute Personal macht sicher einbiges wett, kann aber über die baulichen Mängel und die fehlenden Sport- und Spielangebote nicht hinwegtäuschen. Solange das Wetter gut ist und sich der Tag am Strand/Pool abspielt geht das Eix Platja Daurada Hotel o.k. MFG ...

We visit the Platja Daurada for many years now. The Platja Daurada hotel is in Can Picafort, in the north of Mallorca island. Can Picafort is a beautiful city with many purchase possibilities. The hotel is split. In main building are excluding the normal rooms, in the building opposite are the Appartments, which are substantially larger and have a kitchen. The normal rooms are suitable maximally for 2 persons, starting from 3 persons should decide for an Appartment, since otherwise the place is missing. The bath in the Appartment is large and is equipped with a bath tub. Between the two buildings is the large swimmingpool with child basins. Eix Platja Daurada hotel is been directly of the beach, one must not even a road cross. The sea is very beautiful straight here and one can very far go in. The dining room is very large and the Buffet is varied.
In addition large bar and some play automats are in the hotel. For instance 100m far away from the hotel begin the business. The shopping street is approx. 1km long. The Platja Daurada is a great hotel with large Swimmingpool, directly to the sea and not far from business ... |

Lovely comfortable hotel, only downside is it is mainly catering for German visitors. We found other guests were stand-offish.
Breakfast menu not to British taste i.e. sausages German style, bacon fatty & undercooked, no baked beans or mushrooms. Evening meals could be more varied. Beds would benefit from more pillows, which will be provided on request, albeit, they are very thin. Staff friendly and helpful. Eix Platja Daurada Hotel is ideally placed on the beach with plenty of loungers under 'Tikki's'- priced at about 9 euro's per day. There are 3 reasonably priced 'cafes' serving lager, toasties, baguettes, and more substantial meals all within 50 mtr's of the loungers . It is a five minute slow stroll toward the marina to the main bars & restaurants with the shopping area on the road behind. Area is not suitable to those wishing to party Ibiza style, although we did see 2 cellar 'discos' but did not venture in |

My husband and I found this hotel to be exceptional value for money. The food was absolutely fabulous! I am a "faddy" eater but there was always something I liked on the buffet each day. The staff were all very friendly and accomodating. The other guests were mainly German as there was some sort of biking holiday on when we were there. Eix Platja Daurada hotel was spotlessly clean in all areas. The room of the hotel was big enough for us, but if you had a child sharing with you, you may find it a bit of a squeeze. There was a tv in the room but the only channels in English were Eurosport and 24hr News channel.We would definitely stay there again, hopefully in nicer weather in Mallorca ... |

We asked to be put in a quieter room after the first night as we were above the restuarant, even though Platja Daurada hotel was very busy, we were swapped straight away and were allowed in our new room within an hour. Mainly German guest staying and German resort but it was still very good as we only speak English and a few essential spanish words we. 99% of the staff speak English as well. Kids club great, entertainment was non existent when the Hotel was not as busy. Lovely clean Hotel with Great views. Food excellent choice and different each night. Located next to one of the extensive sandy beaches at C`an Picafort in the centre of Alcudia Bay, many return to Platja Daurada to relax by the superb pool, enjoy the complex`s entertainment, swim in the sea and explore, often by bike, the local area and the diverse island. On most days of the week during the summer months, the entertainment team will organise activities such as teamed sports events, discos etc ... |
